Juniati
Gunawan is Lecturer, Researcher and Advisor in Trisakti University, the
Indonesian pioneer in sustainability accounting services and solutions that
help people and businesses realize their full potential. On the current
time, she served as a coordinator of Accounting Department, Undergraduate
Program - Evening class, as well as a Director of Trisakti Sustainability
Center (TSC).
In 2008, Juniati completed her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in accounting at Edith Cowan University (Perth-Western Australia). She transitioned out of a day-to-day role and spend more time on her global career and education work at Trisakti University. She shares her thoughts about the evolution of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and other topics on sustainability, making a new concept of social practice introduced in Indonesia. Juniati continues to serve on academic researcher and as an advisor on sustainable development projects for national and international companies. Her passions is sharing and educate students with personal approach, ethical behavior and critical thinking. In addition to her love of sustainability in accounting, Juniati founded Trisakti Sustainability Center (TSC), which is developing sustainability report - a comprehensive information of sustainable practice for public and private company around Indonesia. |
“People 'over-produce' pollution because they are not paying for the costs of dealing with it. Being accountable is the way to be maturely dealing with it.” The reports are very useful for
data base in research and especially helping academicians in understanding
current issues related to this rapid report development. She is also a Member of Experts Panel on Indonesia CSR Awards, which held every three years, under The Ministry of
Environment, Republic of Indonesia.
Sharing is very important to Juniati. She participated in several public services and become a speaker and moderator on various CSR national and international events, as well as academic conference. Juniati believes that her advisory presence in public could renovate the creative philanthropic initiatives and answer the inequities in the Indonesia sustainable development. Her expertise supports philanthropic initiatives in the areas of learning, with the hope that CSR areas will be available for all people, especially the raising awareness in maintaining the earth for the next generations. |
